Direct to fan publishers, Archivum (Bad Halo Ltd) has partnered with LumeJet Print Technologies Limited to create a series of projects designed to take advantage of the company’s extraordinary high definition photographic printing system.
Archivum, which has recently published a series of collectable direct to fan Beatles publications is previewing the technology through a series of prints in special editions of its forthcoming “All You Need Is Love” Beatles book, released earlier this month.
There is also a new book featuring the photographs of legendary photographer, Tom Murray, on his “Mad Day Out” with the iconic band in 1968. This offering includes an LP style presentation box containing five signed and numbered LumeJet photographic prints from Tom’s iconic collection of Beatles images, due out later this week.
Archivum is also working closely on a number of layflat gallery book concepts involving their extensive archive collections. These will include bound photographic collections, containing expert notes, focused in the areas of music, history, art, fashion and sport.
“The world of ink jet printing is significantly improving all the time, but the photonic light printing technique that LumeJet has created leaves all other printing technologies standing still. The technical quality of the imagery and colour reproduction is quite simply jaw dropping.” said Archivum co-founder and resident artist/designer, Paul Skellett.
“There are a lot of people who say that publishing is dying and that there is only so far you can go with art printing. LumeJet technology is one of those eureka moments where, as creatives in publishing, you start to dream again,” said Archivum co-founder, Simon Weitzman. “We specialise in direct to fan collectable publications and fine art prints. The technology and what it produces releases a world of opportunities to us and the remastered archive content we work on. We can give our customer base a completely new experience at a quality that litho printing and even the best Giclée style inkjet just can’t match.”
Paul Anson of LumeJet said, “We are very excited to partner with Archivum, a company that understands the value of offering its customers the best print quality available for a truly special experience. Archivum’s products are designed with skill and passion, for discerning collectors. Archivum’s Paul and Simon understand that the best customer is a repeat customer and that loyalty has to be earned. It’s a pleasure to work with a company that is so excited about surpassing customer expectations and we’re proud that our print quality is a key enabler for achieving that – we have a real chemistry with the Archivum team – their products are truly stunning.”
