3D Spark Achieves ISO/IEC 27001 Certification

05.29.2026

3D Spark GmbH has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, strengthening its position as a trusted SaaS platform for enterprise manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain teams.

3D Spark helps industrial companies convert 2D inputs into 3D models, compare manufacturing technologies, estimate cost, lead time, and CO₂ impact, reduce RFQ workload, benchmark suppliers, and identify the best make-or-buy option for parts.

As manufacturers move more sensitive workflows into digital platforms, information security has become a key requirement for enterprise software adoption. This is especially relevant for platforms handling part files, supplier information, should-costing data, and digital manufacturing strategies.

“Enterprise customers need more than strong software functionality. They need confidence that their data, processes, and operations are protected,” said Dr.-Ing. Fritz Lange, Co-Founder and Co-CEO at 3D Spark. “ISO/IEC 27001 certification is an important milestone for 3D Spark and supports our mission to help industrial companies make secure, data-driven manufacturing and procurement decisions.”

The certification confirms that 3D Spark has implemented an independently certified Information Security Management System covering risk management, security policies, access control, employee training, technical safeguards, and continuous improvement.

3D Spark also supports flexible deployment models, including on-premise, private cloud, and public cloud environments. For customers using the public cloud offering, 3D Spark is hosted on Hetzner infrastructure, adding another layer of assurance through a certified European cloud and data center provider. Hetzner has also received BSI C5 Type 2 certification for its products and services.
