Daybreak Technologies Introduces HGB-2000 UV-Curable Overprint Varnish

1.29.20

Daybreak Technologies introduces the development of HGB-2000, a high gloss OPV that is prop 65 compliant. HGB-2000 presents a mirror-smooth, glossy surface that is resistant to chemicals. HGB-2000 will run on press at high speed, adheres well to a variety of substrates, and does not have a strong odor. Many of the high gloss coatings on the market use raw materials that, while performing well on press, tend to have a strong odor – something not desired on a prime label or other high quality printed product.

“We needed a gloss coating that could be run at high speed and offered chemical resistance when cured; HGB-2000 was the best formulation from what we developed. Subsequently, this product provides the printer with outstanding gloss, is compliant for many end-use applications, and provides long-term, postproduction performance.” Says Robert Waddington, the V.P. of Sales and Marketing of Daybreak Technologies, Inc.

HGB-2000 is available in the following containers, 1 and 5-gallon, 55-gallon drums, and totes. This is a stock item and is immediately available to ship. Please contact Daybreak if interested in more details. TDS and SDS’s available on request.
