IDS Restructures and Expands Executive Leadership Team

01.12.2026

Innovative Digital Systems (IDS), a leading manufacturer and distributor of advanced UV LED printers and digital decoration equipment, proudly announces that Vaughn Pollman has become co-owner alongside his father-in-law Craig Smith, Founder of IDS. Their partnership has been in effect since the beginning of 2025, operating the business as co-executives.

Pollman has been with IDS for over thirteen years, rising from Production Manager, to Plant Manager, to General Manager, and now President. He has been instrumental in driving growth, expanding the product line, and strengthening both operations and company culture.

“Vaughn has played a vital role in shaping who we are as a company,” said Craig Smith, Founder of IDS. “My longtime right-hand man, he understands this industry inside and out — not just the technology, but the people we serve. Making him a partner and keeping the legacy of IDS within the family is the natural next step as IDS continues to grow and innovate.”

“I’m excited to take on this new chapter,” said Vaughn Pollman, President and Co-Owner. “We’ve built something special here — a company that listens to its customers and keeps pushing digital printing technology forward. I am proud to help lead IDS into its future and carry on the legacy Craig has built as an industry leader in our field.”

This ownership transition comes amid a year of exceptional growth in 2025 and a series of strategic leadership moves to further strengthen IDS capabilities across operations, marketing, customer service, and sales.

Jim Tower has been promoted to Vice President of Operations after serving the company as Technical Project Manager. Leaning on decades of experience as Technical Service Manager for Engineered Printing Solutions and 3Nine USA, Jim is leading initiatives to enhance customer service and streamline communication across IDS Engineering, Tech Service, and R&D departments.

Doron Tal has also been promoted to Vice President of Business Development, following a year as Marketing Director. A career business executive, Doron worked for many years as Vice President of Marketing & Global Business Development and Director of Business Operations for TeamTex, an international manufacturing company. Doron’s focus is on business process optimization, enterprise AI integration, and cross-departmental improvements and initiatives.

Fernando Tissnes has recently been hired as Vice President of Sales. In 2015 he was ranked among the ‘Top 30 most influential Business Executives in the Graphics Arts Industry’ from Noticias de Gran Formato magazine. Fernando has come out of retirement to join IDS and will be leveraging his extensive senior management experience with Kornit Digital, Seiko Instruments, Océ-USA, and PolyPrint USA to expand the IDS sales network across North America.

These changes at IDS follow a 2025 rebranding initiative, reflecting its renewed focus on innovation, customer success, and global growth. With shared ownership and expanded executive expertise, IDS is well-positioned to drive the next wave of innovation in commercial digital printing technology.
