The 2018 edition of the show attracted 567 exhibitors from 32 countries. Attendance grew to 8,292 people, which was an increase of four percent from the 2016 event, according to Messe Frankfurt and co-producer SPESA.
Special events at Texprocess Americas include the Symposium, which provides a place for attendees to sit and listen to industry leaders and subject matter experts in the sewn products industry. Tech Talks is another opportunity for attendees to rest their feet and participate in a lineup of mini-sessions and panel-style discussions that highlight technical advancements.
New this year is the The Studio, which is a microfactory and product development planning area. Mini-sessions cover subjects related to this production model, and illustrate how microfactories deliver new economies of scale, and the future.
The show floor spans over 25,000 square feet of space with over 500 exhibitors combined for both events. Some of the main product groups represented at Texprocess Americas include design, product development, and automation technology; production preparation and organization; cutting room and automation technology; fabrics/materials; fusing, setting, and manufacturing preparation; textile machinery; textile finishing; and stitching, joining, fastening, automation technology. Combined they represent the entire value-added chain in the development of sewn products. Plan a visit to GA this May to see all of the newest technology in this space.
